HMV Relaunches Purehmv Rewards Programme
04 November 2013 - Press releaseHMV has relaunched PureHMV, the rewards programme that offers members “cool stuff money can’t buy”.
PureHMV is the only rewards loyalty programme in the entertainment industry that gets members closer to the music, movies and games that they love. Whether it’s walking the red carpet with their favourite stars, hanging out backstage at the hottest gigs in town, or signed merchandise, PureHMV guarantees access to a whole host of exclusive offers and surprises. PureHMV members can also redeem points against money off in HMV stores and within HMV’s new digital music store, magazine subscriptions and in other retailers, now including Topshop and Topman.
PureHMV was originally launched by the HMV Group in 2008 and many of PureHMV’s one million active members had point balances on their cards when the previous HMV Group went into administration in January 2013.
Now, under new ownership as part of the Hilco Capital group, HMV is offering to honour legacy points from the old company at its own cost. Customers have until 31 January 2014 to reactivate their account on the purehmv.com website and their previous point balance will be transferred over within 14 days.
Dan Truscott, Managing Director of PureHMV, had this to say about the programme:
“We’re delighted to bring PureHMV back to our loyal customers and thank them for their patience whilst we rejuvenated the programme. Returning previous point balances to our members in the run up to Christmas, whilst also inviting new members to join, is great news for all HMV enthusiasts who want access to great offers and exclusive money can’t buy opportunities.”
Members earn 1 point for every penny spent in HMV stores and 1 point for every 2 pence spent in HMV’s digital music store at hmvdigital.com.
Rewards available at launch include the Official 1D book signed by all five of the boys; the Wolverine poster signed by Hugh Jackman; the chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Berlin to see Keane in concert and a signed Jake Bugg guitar. The reward bank is growing daily with some huge prizes planned for 2014.
