On the heels of independent success, Gigi Perez officially announces her signing to Island Records.

The buzzing singer-songwriter, a New York/New Jersey native, raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, is currently No.6 on the Official Charts with the hit single “Sailor Song”, where it continues to climb and has generated millions of streams worldwide. The song has also reached No.5 on the Spotify UK Daily Chart and Top 15 on the Global Chart. Next up, she will hit the road on two sold out headline shows in October on both coasts in Los Angeles and New York as well as direct support to Girl In Red on a string of dates across North America. On 19^th November she plays her first ever headline show in the UK at London’s Omeara.

Back in 2021, Gigi introduced her singer-songwriter career with “Sometimes (Backwood).” It resonated with audiences, amassing over 140 million Spotify streams. Balancing folk eloquence, alternative spirit, and subtle pop appeal, her lilting vocal delivery and delicate instrumentation instantly struck an even deeper chord on the 2023 EP, How to Catch a Falling Knife. Throughout 2024, she maintained her momentum with “Normalcy” and “Please Be Rude.” During the Spring, she initially shared “Sailor Song” on TikTok where it caught fire, appearing in over 100,000 videos. That success translated to streaming platforms, reeling in 165 million Spotify streams. Plus, Billboard, HITS Daily Double, and more marvelled at her breakthrough. Now, she has joined the Island Records family.
