Popular social platform Azar is on a mission to connect its users beyond the screens and during the height of Winter, Azar partnered with singer-songwriter and TikTok sensation Henry Moodie to perform a one-off exclusive gig. Boasting over 6 million social media followers and 160 million streams worldwide, Azar is reminding everyone about the importance of human interaction for mental wellbeing during one of the most isolating times of the year. 

Henry, whose emotive music and TikTok's have gained him global attention at the tender age of just 18, comments:
“My music has evolved so much over the years, but I’d like to think it’s always been vulnerable since day one! Sometimes music can describe exactly the feeling that you’re going through and fan culture brings so many groups of people together. I would be nowhere, if it wasn’t for social media, my first song blew up because of TikTok, and I’m so grateful for all the support of everyone online.

I love the fact that social media can bring so many people together from across the world, however, I’m very aware that it is also a very toxic thing for our generation (I’ve already noticed my attention span, getting smaller and smaller each year) - but I try my best to keep my social media as positive and health as possible.

I read a DM the other day from somebody saying that my music has given them a whole new group of friends - that DM really made me realise why I do this. When I heard that Azar was an app that brings friends together during one of the loneliest times of the year, I thought ‘this is amazing and I have to jump on it ASAP!!”
