DICE Launches in Chicago with Exclusive Summer Smash Festival Partnership

This news arrives in tandem with the world's largest independent hip-hop music festival's 2024 lineup debut

DICE, the world's largest independent ticketing platform, today announces its expansion to Chicago through an exclusive partnership with Summer Smash Festival.

DICE's debut in Chicago marks its continuous expansion in North America helping more people to discover and experience live events that they love - from hip-hop festivals to house music and pop listening parties.

Summer Smash is the Midwest's premier hip-hop music festival presented by Lyrical Lemonade and SPKRBX. The full festival lineup was released today, featuring headliners Travis Scott, Playboy Carti and Chief Keef.

"As Summer Smash continues to grow larger each year, we are excited to partner with DICE to make the ticket-buying process much easier for our patrons. With collaborators like DICE on our team, we can elevate a fan's entire festival-going experience from the initial point of purchase through the final performance on Sunday night," said Berto Solorio, Summer Smash Festival Cofounder and CEO of SPRKBX

Summer Smash joins other partners in the Windy City - including Electric Hotel Nightclub, Live Wire Lounge, The Point, Judson & Moore Distillery, Bourbon on Division, and more - as DICE officially launches in this new market.

DICE launched in London in 2014 and quickly scaled to North America five years later in markets including New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Texas and Toronto. Now, with its debut in Chicago, fans in the area can benefit from DICE's upfront, all-in pricing, its Waiting List feature designed to protect fans from secondary resales, personalised event recommendations, and a quick, three-click check out process.

Operating in 850 cities worldwide, DICE is reshaping the ticketing industry for fans, artists, and venues by breaking down the barriers that get in the way of a good time, such as unfair pricing, hidden fees, and ticket touts. In 2023, DICE saw a 23% increase in artists, 27% increase in venues, and 10% increase in promoters using the app to sell their tickets globally.

"Summer Smash is legendary. As the biggest independent hip-hop music festival, they align with DICE's own independent values and are the perfect partner," said Russ Tannen, President at DICE. "We're excited to bring fans in Chicago more of the nights out they love with a seamless and transparent ticketing experience and are grateful to our inceptive partners including Sleeping Village, Spybar and Chop Shop that have shared our mission of getting people out more from the start.
