Chart-topping, multi-platinum producer Mustard partners with BMG to release upcoming album

Grammy Award-winning, multi-Platinum producer and artist Mustard has partnered with BMG, under a new global recordings agreement, to release his fourth studio album this year. News of his upcoming album, Faith of a Mustard Seed, came earlier this month and is set to release on July 26.

Known for collaborating with some of Hip-Hop's finest (Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, YG, Drake, Lil Wayne, The Weeknd, Chris Brown, Ella Mai, Snoop Dogg, Nipsey Hussle, Quavo, Big Sean, T.I, Wiz Khalifa), Mustard's distinctive sound transcends genres, earning widespread acclaim and accolades for his innovative productions.

Most recently, Mustard produced the highly acclaimed Kendrick Lamar single 'Not Like Us'. The song was an immediate commercial success, breaking the record for the biggest single-day streams of a hip hop song in Spotify history. The track also claimed the most song streams in a week by a rapper and is the fastest rap song to surpass 100 and 200 million streams on Spotify. The single debuted atop the Billboard Global 200, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and Streaming Songs charts simultaneously.

On the Billboard Hot 100, 'Not Like Us' debuted at No. 1, registering the highest first-week streaming figure for a hip hop song since Billboard removed YouTube song user-generated content from its chart metrics in 2020. It also became the first rap song in history to top the Hot 100 with a shortened tracking week of five days and marked Mustard's first No. 1 single and debut as a producer. The track remains as one of the only chart leaders to be penned by a sole writer.

Mustard said, "I'm happy to join forces with BMG, a company known for its dedication to nurturing artistic independence, integrity, and innovation. Together, we'll continue to push the boundaries of creativity and deliver groundbreaking music that resonates with audiences worldwide."

Dan Gill, BMG Executive Vice President, Recorded Music, West Coast, said, "Mustard's approach, coupled with a proven track record of chart-topping hits, delivers unparalleled musical experiences to audiences worldwide. We look forward to supporting and working alongside him as we continue to elevate his artistry and the impact of his music."

Tim Reid, BMG Senior Vice President, Repertoire & Marketing, said, "Mustard's anthems have consistently orchestrated the soundtrack to the Culture. Partnering with Mustard and the 10 Summers Team on his next movement is an exciting opportunity for the BMG Team to help propel his brand and turn the ordinary into extraordinary.

Mustard follows previous signings of artists set to release new albums this year with BMG including YG, Logic, and Wiz Khalifa.

Multi-Platinum and Grammy-winning artist, Mustard, has achieved a serious milestone as 2024 marks the 10-year anniversary of 10 Summers Records and over a decade of success for the South Los Angeles native. A triple-threat, Mustard has mastered several facets of the industry as an accomplished producer, DJ and artist. Since his 2010 debut, he has reigned as a pioneer of urban sound, serving up chart-toppers to some of music's biggest names, including: YG, Tyga, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Jhene Aiko, Roddy Ricch and more. Through his imprint, 10 Summers Records, Mustard has been able to shine as both artist and music executive. Possessing a keen eye for discovering talent, Mustard shocked the world with the introduction of his artist and protégé, Ella Mai. The U.K. songstress' record-breaking rise to fame included the release of her 2018 RIAA certified 2x-Platinum album, Ella Mai, executive-produced by Mustard, and a 7x Platinum lead single, 'Boo'd Up'. As an artist, Mustard has been equally impressive with his third studio album, Perfect 10, reaching RIAA Platinum. He performed his 7x Platinum hit 'Pure Water' during the 2019 BET Awards and his 8x Platinum single, 'Ballin'' featuring Roddy Ricch on Jimmy Fallon; with the latter earning him a Grammy-nomination for Best Rap Song Performance. Mustard maintains a year-round schedule, complete with a residency with the esteemed Tao Group in Las Vegas, as well as his very own festival, Summers Fest. His work earned him the coveted DJ of the Year at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards. Working to build lasting success, Mustard made a major announcement in 2019 when he inked a global publishing deal through Sony/ATV. In 2020 Mustard was named Producer of the Year in Variety's Hitmakers issue and received the 2021 ASCAP Pop Music Award for both 'Ballin'' and 'High Fashion', both being the most performed ASCAP songs of 2020. Summer 2024 is off to a great start for the mogul, who received his first No. 1 debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with Kendrick Lamar's 'Not Like Us' garnering over 96 million streams, making it the most streamed song in a seven-day period.
