Capitol Records and Polydor Records sign Good Neighbours in a global joint venture

DUO’S RECORD-BREAKING SINGLE “HOME” IS THE YEAR’S MOST STREAMED DEBUT SINGLE GLOBALLY FROM A NEW ARTIST

Much buzzed about U.K. duo Good Neighbours, whose debut single “Home” very quickly graduated from viral buzz track to true chart success, has signed with Capitol Records and Polydor Records in a global joint venture.

With over 200 million combined streams and counting, Good Neighbours’ “Home” is the year’s most streamed debut single globally from a new artist. Released in January, the record-breaking song entered the singles charts in 13 countries, has spent 14 weeks on the UK Official Singles Chart, 11 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, 13 weeks in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs and is Top 20 at Alternative Radio and climbing.

Before Good Neighbours move solely to Capitol and Polydor, the companies will provide global support to indie labels Some Action (UK) and Neon Gold/Avenue A (US) for the release of the band’s debut EP, planned for later this year.

About Good Neighbours:
Good Neighbours comprises Scott Verrill and Oli Fox. Good Neighbours is a band born out of small towns and spare time. Scott and Oli have neighboring studios at their building in East London, and first began making music for the project together out of desire to make something positive and unpolished in a scene where most music felt quite mellow and intimate. Over the course of 2023, they began making music for the love of it, and only by summer realized they needed to create a band to release their songs under. With an urge to rekindle the early 2000s excitement of bands like Passion Pit and MGMT, Good Neighbours are a nod to classic songwriting and raucous production, inspired by A24, friendship and a cinematic approach to music.
