Bucks Music Group has signed legendary house DJ Lenny Fontana to a worldwide exclusive songwriting agreement.

Fontana began DJing professionally in the mid-1980s, playing at famous New York clubs such as Studio 54. He was the first US DJ to play at Pacha Ibiza and in Dubai in 1991.

Fontana’s first successful production was Butch Quick’s Higher (Strictly Rhythm) in 1992 and, in 1999, he had his first crossover hit with What You Need, under the name Powerhouse feat. Duane Harden. It was a Top 10 hit in the UK and was performed on both Top Of The Pops and The Pepsi Chart Show.

In 2000, Fontana returned to the UK chart with Chocolate Sensation and, in 2005, had another dance club hit with The Way.

Fontana founded Karmic Power Records in 2013. He saw particular success alongside D-Train with Raise Your Hands released on the label in 2015, and again with follow-up single When You Feel What Love Has in 2016 and 2017.

Fontana has a weekly syndicated radio show called The Karmic Power Records Radio Show, which is broadcast around the world including Kiss FM in Australia, Radio Italia Network, Ibiza Live Radio and more.

In 2020, Fontana created True House Stories – a weekly podcast in which he delves into the musical careers of his guests.

To date he has interviewed a long list of prominent names including Carl Cox, DJ Sneak, Little Louie Vega, David Morales, Danny Tenaglia, Marshall Jefferson, Mousse T, Norman Jay, Michael Gray and many more.

This year has seen the creation of his two-hour True House Stories Takeover Radio Show, which invites guests from the original podcast to mix a set alongside one of Fontana’s own.

The show is currently aired on more than 35 stations internationally, including Radio FG France, Kiss FM Australia, Sonica and many more.
