Brighton Music Conference announce first wave of speakers and new health, wellbeing and lifestyle focus

Brighton Music Conference (BMC), the UK’s leading electronic music and networking event is excited to announce the first wave of speakers and session topics for its 12th edition. Taking place from 21st to 23rd May 2025,  the award winning BMC will once again bring together Industry-leading professionals and present a packed programme of insightful talks, workshops and networking events.

Priding itself on being one of the most welcoming and friendly music industry events to attend, BMC is a hub for the next generation of talent in electronic music with an affordable ticket price. We love supporting the next generation of talent and helping them on their career journey.” Says BMC founder Billy Mauseth. BMC is the place to kick-start your career, keep up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices, build and grow your network, make new connections and immerse yourself in all things related to the electronic music scene. “We always wanted to create an accessible event that everyone can enjoy and feel welcome. BMC is like a family, with a relaxed and friendly vibe where everyone can come together to learn, be inspired, network and enjoy amazing music and DJ sets.”

A new focus for the 2025 edition is taking care of your Health, Wellbeing and lifestyle, which will provide much-needed space for information sharing and in-depth discussions. Research has shown that people working in the music industry are more prone to mental health problems than the general population and the new programme aims to cover important topics such as Burnout, Neurodiversity, Mental Health, Spiking, Motherhood & Touring and much more.

Duncan King, Skiddle says: "Skiddle is proud to be the headline sponsor of the inaugural ‘Health and Wellbeing Theatre’ at this year’s BMC. As a dedicated advocate for improving health and wellbeing awareness within the industry, we are committed to fostering open conversations, promoting better support and practices, and shining a spotlight on the incredible individuals and organisations making a difference in this space."

Billy Mauseth, BMC Director Adds: “With first-hand experience of friends and colleagues struggling with their health and addiction issues, I felt it was really important to do more on this topic at BMC. Grateful for the support from Skiddle in making this happen this year.”

Tonic Music will present a session on ‘Breaking The Stigma - Severe and Enduring Mental Illness in the Music Industry’ and registered dietitian Sally Freeman will bring her ‘Eat Sleep Rave Relax’ concept to BMC highlighting the best strategies for health and resilience in the music industry.  Protecting your hearing will also be a key topic with ACS presenting a session on ‘Understanding Tinnitus - The facts’ and the NTIA ‘Listen for Life’ initiative to prevent hearing loss.  There will also be Yoga and a Healing Soundbath on offer for delegates to help start the day with a calming mindset.

The Association For Electronic Music will present two sessions to support the next generation of talent in the industry with ‘Where Are The Party Starters?: Support the next generation of promoters’ and ‘Finding The Right: Agent/Manager/Publisher/Publicist/Label’. They will also host their ‘Meet the Experts’ session giving delegates the opportunity to book in one to one sessions with industry professionals.

Attack Magazine’s Eric Brunjes will host a discussion on DJs taking the book world by storm and being best selling authors with Fat Tony, Smokin Jo, Carl Loben (DJ Magazine), DJ Dribbler (Pikes Ibiza) and chair the Producer Q&A.

There will also be several keynote interviews across the 2 two-day event featuring 808 State, Authur Baker, Paul Oakenfold and an exclusive showing of the Frankie Knuckles Documentary followed by Q&A.
