Breakthrough Artist shortlist unveiled for inaugural TikTok Awards

Jordan Adetunji (@jordanadetunji): Incredible break-out year with 'Kehlani' smashing through on TikTok into the UK Official Charts reaching #8 and hit #24 on the US Billboard 100.
LeoStayTrill (@leostaytrill): The rapper from South London has become a breakout success story, with 'Pink Lemonade'(3.8M creations on TikTok) reaching #3 in the TikTok Billboard Top 50 Chart, and hit #5 in the US Viral 50 chart on Spotify, and is a great example of UK Rap going global.
Myles Smith (@mylessmithuk): 'Stargazing' gave Myles his first Top UK 10. Myles started posting acoustic covers to TikTok in 2022, and soon started gaining a huge following. Speaking about how TikTok has helped his career, Myles said: “being able to reach people on the complete other side of the world to me, who are experiencing things that I’ve experienced, I think has made me feel more connected me more than anything could”.
Nxdia @nxdiamusic: As of 2024, Nxdia has amassed over 10 million followers on TikTok. She Likes A Boy (42k creations) was their first truly viral sound. Track hit over 30m streams on Spotify. Track peaked at #74 on OCC charts.
Artemas (@artemasaltalt) 'i like the way you kiss me' was a community driven trend, this new song by British-Cypriot artist Artemas went viral on and off-platform after he began teasing it on TikTok in early March. It hit #1 in both the Global Top 50 and Viral 50 charts on Spotify, and has risen to #3 in the Official UK Singles Chart.
Rachel Chinouriri (@rachelchinouriri): Rachel continues to go from strength to strength with her 400k followers on TikTok and her debut album reaching momentum with a top 20 OCC Album Chart this year

Confirmed to perform at the event on 3 December are Sugababes and rising UK rap superstar LeoStayTrill.

Last month, we announced the first TikTok Awards in the UK & Ireland with presenting partner Sky, Europe’s leading media and entertainment company. These awards are our way of recognising the incredible creators who invest their time and creativity to make the TikTok ecosystem truly unique.

Today we are revealing the awards shortlist, which reflects the diverse range of creators thriving on TikTok and inspiring our community every single day. Whether it's the sporting icons of tomorrow, rising stars in the fashion and beauty industry, passionate foodies, or breakthrough entertainers, they've all found a home on TikTok.

We're also thrilled to announce that the TikTok Awards on Tuesday, 3 December will be hosted by internationally renowned television personality, radio show host, artist and author Michelle Visage, will feature performances from the Sugababes, breakthrough artist nominee LeoStayTrill and Bimini. TikTok starlets Sarel and Charley Marlowe will act as our red carpet and roving reporters.

Throughout the evening, there will be bespoke beverages provided by the official drinks partner Pepsi MAX, behind the scenes content from creators and partners and exclusive red carpet interviews from our nominees.
