Blinding Talent unveils flagship podcast series, The Blinding Talent Music Industry

Leading digital marketing and artist development company will demystify and illuminate the complex world of music, in a new series of conversations with esteemed guests hosted by founder Mark Adams

What goes into making a Number One record? How does an artist go from the pub circuit to arenas nationwide? What do you need to build a fanbase in the social media era? And what even A&R, really?

Whether you’re a seasoned veteran, fledgling newcomer or curious observer, has questions about navigating a life in music. Now, The Blinding Talent Music Industry Podcast is here to answer them, demystify and illuminate every corner of the labyrinthine industry in an engaging, honest and personable new monthly series of conversations.

Hosted by Mark Adams, founder and CEO of Blinding Talent, top-level guests from the world of labels, management, production, songwriting, live and media will draw on personal experience to provide anecdotal advice and insight. Framed as intimate one-on-one conversations that are equal parts campfire stories and practical cheat-sheets, whether you’re seeking career direction, industry insight or a healthy dose of inspiration, The Blinding Talent Music Industry Podcast will pull back the curtain to reveal answers to everything you’ve ever wanted to know – and more.

"I've been in the music industry for over 20 years and worked with some powerful music brands including 4Music, Kiss, Kerrang!, Spotify, YouTube and Channel 4, not to mention the many A-list artists I've helped along the way,” explains Adams of the podcast’s genesis. “I'm incredibly proud to share that experience and knowledge and chat to some of my favourite, and frankly, awesome industry chums about where we were, where we are and where we're going in the world of music.”

The Blinding Talent Music Industry Podcast will see new episodes released monthly. Episode one arrives Friday November 22nd, and welcomes former MTV presenter Vanessa Warwick, with forthcoming guests including Rich Castillo (Head of A&R, Graduation), Nathan Philips (Head of A&R, Nuclear Blast Records), Jamie Osman (Real Life Management), Sarah Wilson (Head of TuneCore), Colin Barlow (Former RCA and Polydor), Sol Parker (Wasserman), and many more. Audio is handled by experienced podcast producer Katie Baxter (JaaackMaates Happy Hour/Utopia Talks).
