Beatchain expands global reach with appointments in North America, Asia and Africa

New ambassadors to accelerate business growth in emerging market

Beatchain, the AI-driven A&R and artist services platform for independent music, has appointed Holly Hutchison, Umesh Luthria and Nick Hamman as regional brand ambassadors for North America, Asia and Africa, respectively. These industry leaders will draw on their deep market expertise to accelerate Beatchain’s international expansion, drive business development and strengthen relationships with music companies and rightsholders globally.
Beatchain’s technology enables music companies and labels to provide direct-to-artist services across genres and regions. The platform allows artists to retain their music rights while gaining deep insights into audience growth and performance. This expansion marks a significant step in Beatchain’s strategy to increase its footprint in high potential markets and address growing demand from music companies and artists for scalable artist solutions.

Strengthening its presence in North America
With over 35 years of A&R experience including major labels Atlantic and Capitol Records, and early artist discoveries Blink-182, Sixpence None the Richer, Alanis Morissette and Muse, New York-based Holly Hutchison is a trailblazer in using data-driven insights for talent scouting. Through her independent music consultancy, AnRGirl, Holly recently partnered with Beatchain to spotlight and support independent artists.
“With Beatchain’s technology, I’ve created a platform to highlight artists who are excelling at audience growth. In today’s oversaturated digital market, artists need to work smarter to stand out, and Beatchain provides the tools to help them build sustainable careers. I’m proud to be representing the company in North America," said Hutchison.

Expanding into key Asian markets
Based in Mumbai, India, Umesh Luthria is an accomplished entrepreneur with over 30 years of business experience across hospitality, real estate, private equity, wealth management and media. He played a key role in launching Muzartdisco Arena, Beatchain’s biggest initiative to date, which is providing thousands of independent Indian artists with a platform to release and promote their music in partnership with Radio City India.
“In rapidly growing music markets like India, where on-demand streaming has seen one of the largest year-on-year increases, Beatchain’s model has proven to be a powerful tool for discovering and supporting talent across different regions and languages. As Beatchain’s ambassador for Asia, my main goal will be to scale this model further in India and expand to other high growth markets in the region, including Vietnam, Korea, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka,” said Luthria.

Identifying opportunities in the African market
Nick Hamman, based in Johannesburg, is a well-known radio presenter, musician and digital strategist who has shaped South Africa’s music industry for over a decade. As one of the youngest morning show hosts on 5FM, part of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), Hamman has played a key role in influencing South Africa’s music culture, curating radio playlists and serving as a three-time judge for the South African Music Awards (SAMAs).
"Music is deeply embedded in African culture, but the industry remains highly fragmented by geography and sub genres, each with its own trajectory and history, making it challenging for global players to navigate the local scene. As Beatchain’s ambassador for Africa, I’m committed to bridging this gap by helping independent artists and brands gain visibility and ensuring African music reaches a global audience," said Hamman.
Beatchain’s CEO, Ben Mendoza, added: “Following the successful launch of Muzartdisco in India, we identified a growing need -particularly in emerging markets- for solutions that enable local music businesses and empower local artists to seize the opportunities brought by streaming and globalisation. With Umesh and Nick exploring the immense potential of Asia and Africa, and Holly driving growth in North America, Beatchain is not only supporting artists but also creating new opportunities for music and media companies. This expansion will help build stronger connections between artists and the global music ecosystem, making it easier for the industry to discover, develop and monetise talent on a global scale.”

Beatchain’s white label “arenas” allow music companies to create branded platforms where artists can distribute, promote and monetise their music directly. These offer career-defining opportunities, including studio sessions, mentoring and collaborations, while A&R teams can discover talent more effectively and build rosters that align with their strategic goals. Beatchain also recently introduced “imprints,” a tailored solution designed to help boutique music companies and artist management teams scale their operations while enhancing artist services and revenue growth opportunities.
