BEAT Music Fund Inks Catalog Deals with Kevin Saunderson, Markus Schulz and Robbie Rivera

The latest additions to BEAT’s roster further expand its influence in the dance genre and empower artists who have shaped techno, trance and house music.

BEAT Music Fund, the world’s first dance music investment company from Armada Music Group, today announced a new wave of catalog acquisition deals with Kevin Saunderson, Markus Schulz and Robbie Rivera. This comes as BEAT continues to drive growth in the global electronic dance music industry and advance its mission to amplify the success of dance artists and uphold the legacy of their work.

BEAT has acquired artist shares from a portion of techno pioneer and platinum-selling artist Kevin Saunderson’s Inner City catalog. Founded by Saunderson and vocalist Paris Grey, Inner City is credited with originating the Detroit techno sound and shaping the dance music genre beginning in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. Several of the group’s all-time classics are part of the deal, including “Good Life,” “Big Fun,” and “Pennies From Heaven.”

BEAT’s deal with Markus Schulz, renowned trance DJ and owner of Coldharbour Recordings, includes master and artist royalties for notable tracks such as “The New World”, “Rotuna” ft. Jochen Miller, and “Loops & Tings” ft. Ferry Corsten.

The catalog of Juicy Music – the dance label owned by veteran DJ and producer Robbie Rivera – has also been acquired by BEAT. Founded by Rivera in 1998, the label is known for churning out dance anthems and contributing to the global success of house music. As part of the deal, BEAT has acquired master and artist royalties for Juicy Music’s entire catalog, including Rivera’s “Agua Pa Beber”, “Out of Time” ft. Jordan Kaahn, and “Switch It” ft. The Melody Men.

“Each of these artists have played an integral role in shaping dance music and pioneering sub-genres like techno, house and trance,” said Maykel Piron, the CEO of Armada Music Group. “We’re truly honored to preserve their incredible legacies and look forward to sharing their beloved work with new audiences.”

From ‘80s house classics to early aughts techno, BEAT’s newly acquired tracks have collectively garnered nearly 100 million streams and continue to attract listeners across generations. Saunderson, Schulz and Rivera are the latest renowned dance artists to entrust BEAT through catalog acquisition; BEAT’s notable roster includes Sultan + Shepard, Jax Jones, Amba Shepherd, VIVa MUSiC, Sola Records, King Street Sounds and Chocolate Puma. With 20,000 assets acquired to-date, BEAT continues to gain ground in its pursuit to acquire and exploit recording and music publishing catalogs in the dance genre.
