AVA returns to London in new multi-day, multi-venue format in some of London's most dynamic venues including: KOKO, HERE at Outernet, The Standard and The British Library hosting club and conference events featuring Brian Eno, Elijah, UVA, Marlon Hoffstadt, Amy Lamé, DJ Boring, Or:La and more. 

Brian Eno, Elijah, United Visual Artists, Amy Lamé & many more will feature as keynote speakers at the conference which will move to a supercharged new multi-venue format across The British Library, The Standard & KOKO across two consecutive days – followed by a series of club show performances from Marlon Hoffstadt AKA DJ Daddy Trance, DJ Boring, Or:La B2b Spray, Amaliah b2b Danielle, DJ AYA, Byron Yeates, Aika Mal, Sloucho (Live) with more to be announced. Across some of London’s most iconic venues The British Library, The Standard, KOKO & HERE at Outernet, the new collective home will host keynotes and panels from thought leaders & artists in electronic music, visual arts, labels & music technology–alongside a series of musical line ups . This is just the first-wave announcement, with much more to follow in the coming months. 

Uniting leaders, creatives, artists and visionaries to explore topics across four themes facing the music and wider creative industries - Future, Community, Impact, and Pathways. A new chapter is born for the ever evolving AVA, bringing a new energy and dynamic to 2024’s London cultural offering– set to take place in the heart of London’s “Knowledge Quarter”, in and around King’s Cross, Tottenham Court Road and Camden. 

The conference will put an emphasis on delegates and international audiences this year, exploring topics including sustainability in electronic music; an insight to our current community and what it looks like to be a part of this. The impact of electronic music and visual arts in culture and society today as well as the creative pathways within the scene.

Musician, visual artist, philanthropist and climate activist Brian Eno will open the conference on Thursday with a keynote conversation in association with EarthPercent. Eno's role in the advancement of society for the better is a crucial one and EarthPercent, the charity he co-founded works with an expert panel of scientists, researchers and activists to identify and support some of the most impactful organisations addressing the climate and biodiversity emergency. London Night Czar Amy Lamé will join for an important discussion on the future of international nightlife policy in association with the Association For Electronic Music, Yellow Square series developer Elijah will give a lecture on the fabled subject of DJing, and Warchild return to deliver another edition of their Migrant Footprint talk, after an incredible reception at last year’s Printworks event.

Playing into the theme of creative pathways United Visual Artists will present a keynote lecture on creativity and process talking through some of the large-scale projects that UVA have worked on over recent year which include visual identities for Drumsheds, Printworks and their large Synchronicity exhibition, which is currently showing at 180 The Strand. 

Resident Advisor will present a series of flagship editorial content including the RA Exchange Live as well as a live edition of The Art of DJing. RA will also engage in two editorially led workshops, names and hosts for these sessions will be announced in the coming months, and the workshops will be on a sign-up only basis, as part of our community programme.

Leading UK artist development agency One House will curate a series of talks covering topics between Working sustainably with artists in a rocky climate, navigating brand partnerships as an artist and how cutting-edge technology can democratise access, foster inclusivity, and level the playing field for emerging talents. Based in London, UK, the full stack artist development company exists to build a better world for creators and artists. The British Council will also support AVA London this year, to bring international delegates and arts sector leaders to connect, collaborate and converse as part of our conference programme, discussing global issues and trends beyond borders.
