Anthony Hippsley takes on Creative A&R Manager role at Bucks Music Group
11 November 2017 - Press releaseExec will continue to run Bucks Music Management in dual position
Bucks Music Group’s Anthony Hippsley is to take on a dual role at the independent publisher, becoming the company’s new Creative A&R Manager as well as running Bucks Music Management.
Hippsley joined Bucks as Talent Manager to set up its management arm in 2016, having previously worked at Big Life and Spilt Milk.
In his first year, Hippsley signed six new clients to the Bucks Music Management roster.
Hippsley was instrumental in producer/writer Jordan Riley signing a publishing deal with BMG. Riley has worked with a brilliant range of artists this year, with an impressive amount of cuts coming out in 2018.
Fellow Bucks Music Management client, Katya Edwards also secured a BMG publishing deal early on in her career under the guidance of Hippsley.
Meanwhile, producer/writer Dan Weller has worked with numerous developing and established acts while at Bucks Music Management. He recently produced much-loved Canadian rock band Monster Truck - recording the theme tune for CBS’ popular Saturday Night show – as well as Hunger with track ‘Amused’ going on to be synced on Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why.
Bucks Music Group’s Director Creative A&R Sarah Liversedge Platz said: “Ant is a real asset to the company and has done a great job leading Bucks Music Management. He is a natural when it comes to working creatively with artists, producers and songwriters – he understands their day to day needs and helps champion their ambitions. This wider A&R role will complement his management duties perfectly and allow us to service the talent across our existing rosters even more completely.”
Hippsley will replace Harri Davies, who is moving on to pastures new.
