Amazon Music launches City Sessions across Europe

First shows in the livestream series will take place in the UK, Spain, Germany and Italy 

Fans around the world can tune in on via the Amazon Music channels on Twitch

 

Amazon Music today announces that City Sessions will launch across Europe, with shows taking place in the UK, Germany, Spain and Italy before the end of the year. The highly successful intimate performance and livestream series has captivated audiences across the US and Latin America, and will kick off in Manchester and Madrid on 15th October. Featuring some of the biggest names performing on intimate stages in unique venues, the series spans musical genres offering fans a unique opportunity to tune in to a once-in-a-lifetime show from some of their favourite artists. Viewers around the world can tune in to the shows on the Amazon Music channels on Twitch. Previous performances include global superstars such as Kings of Leon, Nelly Furtado, Omah Lay, Sofi Tukker, Mau y Ricky, Andra Day, The Black Crowes, Glass Animals, and Wallows.

Opening City Sessions is Bastille Presents; “&”(Ampersand) kicking off the series performing at Manchester’s landmark new arts, music and culture venue, Aviva Studios, the home of Factory International. This unique show will be an opportunity for fans to hear new songs from the forthcoming album, “&”(Ampersand) out on October 25th, which includes recent single releases, Seasons & Narcissus,  Blue Sky & The Painter and Leonard & Marianne. For those not there in person, the one-off performance will be streamed live on Prime Video and the Amazon Music UK channel on Twitch, offering an unparalleled viewing experience for fans at home. The performance will be the first of four shows across 2024 and 2025 presented by Aviva, the UK’s leading insurance wealth and retirement business. Taking place at Aviva Studios, they will bring City Sessions to a city steeped in music heritage.

Also taking place on 15th October at Madrid’s iconic Matadero Space (nave 17), is the first City Session in the Spanish capital. The show will feature performances from two of the most acclaimed artists of the Spanish urban music scene, RVFV and Soge Culebra. Awarded the Urban Revelation Artist Award at the Odeon Awards 2023, RVFV has been  recognised for his fusion of reggaeton, trap and Latin rhythms, which has led him to collaborate with artists such as David Bisbal and Lola Indigo. Joining RVFV on the line up will be Soge Culebra, who has collaborated with artists such as Quevedo, Morad and Saiko and was inducted into the Amazon Music Breakthrough programme for emerging talent in 2023. Since then the artist and composer has gone on to become a key figure in the Spanish urban music scene. Fans will be able to tune in to their performances live, on the Amazon Music En Vivo channel on Twitch from 20:00 CET. 

Later in the autumn, City Sessions will also kick off in Berlin, with acclaimed German singer-songwriter, LEA. With hit songs including "Leiser" and "Treppenhaus," LEA has won over the hearts of fans nationwide, showcasing her talent for blending pop with electronic influences. Her collaborations with renowned artists such as Capital Bra and Mark Forster have further cemented her status as one of Germany's most beloved musicians.
