Amazon Music celebrates ‘Best Podcasts of 2023’

EVENT TO TAKE PLACE IN LONDON ON 7TH DECEMBER

LIVE PODCAST RECORDINGS ON THE NIGHT FROM +44 PODCAST AND REDHANDED

 

Today, Amazon Music announces an exclusive event to celebrate the Best Podcasts of 2023, spotlighting the chart-topping creators and listeners’ favourite podcasts from the past year. The event, taking place on 7th December, will combine live podcast recordings from both RedHanded and +44 Podcast, with a studio audience.  

Taking place on Thursday 7th December, the evening will kick off with multi-award winning true crime podcast, RedHanded, hosted by Suruthi Bala and Hannah Maguire, hot off the back of their sold out American Tour. For this very special live recording, Suruthi and Hannah will be joined by ‘Lala’; Instagram’s favourite anonymous agony aunt, the Sunday Times best-seller and host of It’s Not You, It’s Them… But It Might Be You with LalalaLetMeExplain. The episode will be available to listeners on Amazon Music from 12th December, and wide from 15th December. 

Also taking to the stage will be podcast hosts Zeze Millz and Sideman will kick off the evening with a live recording of +44 Podcast alongside special guests Poet and Chuckie Online, for a special bonus episode of the podcast which will be made available to listeners on 12th December. Music personality Chuckie Online will present the event and will be joined by influencer Madame Joyce as red-carpet host. 

The Best of the Year event marks the end of an exciting year in podcasts for Amazon Music, which included the launch of Podcast Previews on the streaming service, new show launches such as Terribly Famous, Ghost Story and Legacy with Wondery, and an exciting array of campaigns with much loved series such as Help I Sexted My Boss and Peter Crouch’s Crouchfest. Amazon Music has also continued to support the wider podcast industry, with Pay What You Can Scheme’s at leading events such as the British Podcast Awards, Audio Production Awards and International Women’s Podcast Awards.
