AlphaTheta announces return to International Music Summit Ibiza for 2025 as founding partner
14 April 2025 - Press releaseIt’s almost time! As clubbers look forward to the start of the party season on the White Isle, the International Music Summit Ibiza – one of the biggest, most exciting events on the music industry’s calendar – is preparing for its 2025 outing, and founding partner AlphaTheta is gearing up for three huge days and nights from April 23–25. This year’s IMS theme is intergeneration exchange – the transfer of information and support between people of different generations.
Making its debut at IMS Ibiza will be Equal Beats, an exciting new initiative from AlphaTheta to drive greater gender parity in the music space and engage more women in DJing. An exclusive launch lunch will celebrate non-males and offer a community driven space for them to connect, share, and exchange ways we can build a more inclusive and representative industry.
Continuing their successful partnership, AlphaTheta and The Art of Areté wellness program will offer an immersive experience designed to nourish both body and mind. Attendees can start their day with AlphaTheta-sponsored morning walks, runs, and a smoothie bar, followed by a mix of yoga, meditation, breathwork activations, vibrational flow-state sessions, and insightful panel discussions. Topics will include neuroscience, hormone health, psychedelics, burnout, noise health, and movement as medicine – providing valuable knowledge and practical tools for mental health and holistic well-being.
As always, the AlphaTheta team will be on duty in the Tech Zone to help people of all ages and genders who want to try out the latest DJ gear and ask any questions they have about DJing. Summit attendees can drop in anytime to chat and check out the products or, for a more in-depth experience, join the workshop called Blending Production and DJing, in the same spot, presented by AlphaTheta. In this session, Sam Shepherd from the AlphaTheta EMEA Product Planning team will showcase live track building using music production equipment, moving from that track to a CDJ while turning it into a piece of “production equipment,” and transitioning back to another live track. This session is a must for those who want to learn how to get more from their DJ equipment in live performances.
At a time when more and more clubs and music venues are closing, it’s arguably more important than ever for people to enjoy shared musical experiences. During IMS Ibiza 2025, Executive Producer Dan Tait will moderate a panel discussion about the themes in the recently launched AlphaTheta film, “We Become One.” Joining Dan onstage will be DJ, producer, and lead contributor of “We Become One,” Kikelomo Oludemi, as well as neuroscientist Julia C. Basso, Valentino Barrioseta, and Braines from He.She.They. Together, they’ll delve into issues the documentary explores, such as how music creates connections between people, how it can bridge cultural divides, and ways the music industry can enhance connection and inclusivity. The discussion will end with a Q&A, giving audience members the chance to pick the brains of the experts onstage. “We Become One” is free to watch ahead of IMS here.
Following last year’s success, when it generated €30,000, the IMS Ibiza Cycle challenge returns to raise funds for Bridges for Music, the non-profit organization that empowers young talent from underrepresented communities in South Africa. Powered by AlphaTheta, the event offers riders either a 60km or 100km route to take in some of Ibiza’s most beautiful scenery while supporting an amazing cause.
