Alexis Strum signs with Absolute Label Services

Alexis Strum has signed with Absolute Label Services for the release of her third album. The pop singer-songwriter from London who recently returned to music after a 15-year hiatus was previously signed to Warner Records and Universal Records as a recording artist and has written for, among others, Kylie Minogue, Rachel Stevens, The Thrillseekers and TV series such as ITV’s ‘Vital Signs’ and MTV’s ‘Teen Wolf’.  She has also worked with Robbie Williams, Gary Barlow, Billy Steinberg (Madonna, Eternal, Whitney) and Greg Kurstin (Adele, Tate McRae).

She quit music completely until 2023 when she wrote a random and rather hilarious Twitter/X thread about her former pop star career during her lunch break in her day job and it went viral, resulting in renewed interest in her music. Alexis then shared her story on Radio 4s Woman’s Hour, as well as various other BBC R4 and BBC London shows, Ireland AM, and in the pages of The Times, The Independent, Metro, Retropop and Voxwave magazine. This resulted in major ‘pop justice’, with her two previously unreleased major label albums finally being released on streaming and clocking up 600k streams on Spotify alone, while her videos on TikTok have enjoyed over 5m views. In 2024, she released her first single in over 15 years, Alexa play Taylor Swift Karma, which saw her feature on the BBC, Metro, Independent, The Times and Woman’s Hour.
