Agedi unveils recording works of 2023 winners of the Odeon Awards 2024

Today, the phonographic industry represented by AGEDI - Entidad de Gestión de Derechos de Propiedad Intelectual gathering phonogram producers published the winners of the 5th Edition of the Odeón Awards 2024. These awards recognise most successful recording works by Spanish artists 2023 (except for the International and Latin categories) regarding sales, thus reflecting music preferences of the Spanish public that either purchasing or consuming streamed albums and songs have placed them as most successful of 2023. A total of 25 different categories by genres, including the Odeón Best Tour 2023 Awardand produced by 11 record companies, showing the good health and future perspectives of the recorded music sector.

Big news of this edition is that 2024 has been a great year for acknowledging women in music, as 15 out of the 25 awards have been gained by women, that is 60% of award-winners.

All award-winners 2024
The Album of the Year 2023 has definitely been Quevedo's Donde Quiero Estar (Taste the Floor Records), who receives the year's highest recognition with his first recording work, as was previously confirmed by the annual official charts of PROMUSICAE and AGEDI.

The Song of the Year could only be other than the exhaustively listened and danced Nochentera by Vicco (Sony Music Spain). The Music Video of the Year goes to  Clavaíto by Chanel and Abraham Mateo (Sony Music Spain).

The Odeón Best Tour 2024 Award lies on Corazón y Flecha Tour by Manuel Carrasco who travelled his live show with the same recording name Corazón y Flecha (Universal Music Spain), winner of Odeón Best Pop Album Award in 2023. This award is granted in collaboration with the Association APM (Music Promoters Association), that certifies the tours ranking 2023 in their Life Music Yearbook 2024.

Going to the categories by genre, in pop, the most outstanding works in 2024 are Alpha (Universal Music Spain) by Aitana, which was the Best Pop Album in 2023; the best pop song is Beso (Sony Music) by Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro, and Vicco adds his second award in 2024 becoming the Pop New Artist in 2023.

In the flamenco category, two women share the awards: Niña Pastori achieves the award for the best flamenco album for her work Camino (Sony Music Spain), and the Sevillian artist Marta Santos scores two awards, receiving the best flamenco song award for Algo Sencillito (Sounds Blaster Records), as well as the flamenco new artist award.

Latin and International categories
The Odeón award for the best Latin album goes to Colombia, as Mañana Será Bonito (Universal Music) by Karol G is the album deserving the award, confirming its success in Spain; the Shakira: BZRP Music Sessions vol. 53 (Dale Play Records) by Bizarrap & Shakira receives the Odeón award for the best Latin song and the Latin new artist award is once again won by an Argentinian artist, Emilia.

Award ceremony
As it happened in 2023, AGEDI does not hold an award ceremony due to the concurrence of various circumstances: artists' busy schedules, full of galas, commitments, and performances for their tours, and due to the imminent celebration of the Academia de la Música Awards. In social media the Odeón Awards will be unveiling details of all award-winners. Three well know Spanish journalists will be in charge of revealing the winners: Ana Medina, Laura Piñeiro and Marta Valderrama.

The award-winning artists have received a sculpture specially designed for this fifth edition by Susso33, a renowned urban creator who has previously designed the trophies for past editions of these awards.
