18-year-old Callum Burrows, who prefers to go by the name of Saint Raymond, is a despicably talented singer-songwriter who released his debut EP Escapade last month on Gabrielle Aplin's label Never Fade Records, selling 2,000 units in the first week alone. Originally championed by BBC Introducing DJ Dean Jackson, lead track Fall At Your Feet was selected as iTunes Single of the Week and has picked up excellent play at Radio 1 from Zane Lowe, Sara Cox and Phil Taggart & Alice Levine. A Joshua Sanger-directed video has received 30k plays on YouTube. We caught an assured live performance at The Great Escape, where it was easy to see why Burrows has picked up supports with Jake Bugg and Lewis Watson, as well as with Aplin herself, with whom he is currently touring in Europe. A summer of festivals now beckons, including Kendall Calling, Secret Garden Party and Y Not festival.
