Firing at us with the pent-up rage and energy that you’ll find in early Supergrass and Manics tracks, The Luka State are a Cheshire-based four-piece who've achieved almost three million YouTube views and a million Spotify plays across their catalogue to date. This frantic burst of indie-guitar rock is the taster for their first full-length album, due in the summer. Lyrically the song deals with the gullibility of the masses in this ‘post facts world’, and is particularly poignant with such a divisive figure now installed at the White House. Their weekly self-made show, hosted from YouTube’s HQ, features a handful of hot undiscovered bands and has racked up 120,000 views. They’ve even been playing gigs in fan’s living rooms, including one recently in Paris. On Wednesday (January 25) they start a string of dates that both begins and ends in London, starting at New Cross Inn and wrapping up at Underbelly on March 1. Premiered by BBC Introducing's Rob Adcock, and with past support from Kerrang! Radio and 6Music too, this song is the perfect antidote to shake furious young music fans out of any stupor.
