Dublin musician Ailbhe Reddy is a singer-songwriter whose deeply personal heart-on-her-sleeve lyrics and a memorable voice lingers with you long after your first taste. Everything has pretty much grown organically for her over the past two years and began when a homemade demo of her song Cover Me found its way into a TV ad for Today FM, Ireland's biggest national commercial station. Soon after, her first proper single Flesh & Blood picked up glowing reviews and led on to her playing at many big festivals including Electric Picnic, Body & Soul, Hard Working Class Heroes, Knockanstockan, Spirit of Folk and Other Voices, the influential music TV show for which she’s filming a performance next week, set to air in the new year. This stunning song was produced by Darragh Nolan (Sacred Animals) and comes from her debut six-track EP Hollowed Out Sea, self-released in Ireland, and with a million Spotify total EP plays to date. Still independent, and without a publishing deal, live dates are promised for early in 2017 and this is her first UK release. Prepare to be floored - it's wonderful.
