Let's Just Forget It
We say
Jerry Williams is a young British artist with star quality who we’ve supported right from the start of her career. It began when the then-18-year-old (now 20) from Portsmouth impressed us with her quirky debut EP full of youthful promise, and we’ve seen her grow into a musician possessing a knack for penning simply great songs like this, featuring relatable lyrics that connect with her growing fanbase. Produced by long-time collaborator Dan Brown and with drums courtesy of Ian Matthews from Kasabian, Let’s Just Forget It is the title track to her latest EP, which also includes previously-featured Mother, a song that’s had two million Spotify plays. There’s also a cool cover of The Cure classic Boys Don’t Cry on there too. This weekend, Jerry embarks on her first-ever UK headline tour, taking in a London date at Servant Jazz Quarters this Monday night (October 3), following on from her impressive sold-out show at The Lexington recently. She’s just filmed a live session for VEVO DSCVR. Deceptively simple in tone before launching into a full-blown guitar anthem, this feels to us like it's her best work yet.
