Following on from the equally-wonderful Time To Share, a song we featured back in February and which Popjustice described as one of the best of the year, Leicester-born Gemini (alias Thomas Slinger) returns with this exquisite slice of dream pop. It comes from his debut album Wanderlust, released last week (September 21) and shows a more R&B-based edge to his minimal electronic bleeps and beats. Having previously dabbled in dubstep, with huge support from Annie Mac and Zane Lowe, his current sound has a myriad of world influences permeating it, all stemming from his personal journeys around the globe. The track deftly flips between perfect night-time chillout and widescreen cinematic euphoria on the chorus, before literally stripping everything back and slowly building it up again quite brilliantly. It's been featured in Spotify New Music Friday playlists in the US and Denmark and tastemaker blogs including Neon Gold, The 405, Line of Best Fit, Mr Suicide Sheep and more have supported the project. Yes, Time To Share was great, but this latest song is dazzling.
