Take Home
We say
This uplifting track from musician and producer Dom Zilla takes its inspiration from so many great styles of music. Behind the scenes, he toured for three years as part of the live band for Lulu James, shaping her soulful sound along the way as well as co-writing several early releases for her including the Black Butter release Be Safe. He’s also produced for a diverse selection of artists such as Karen Harding, Raekwon from Wu-Tang Clan, Skinnyman, Aiden Grimshaw and Farley “Jackmaster” Funk. Now he’s unveiling music under his own name as an artist for the first time and it’s an accessible and hugely contemporary sound that he’s created, successfully blending gorgoeus sensual beats and tribal influences with edgy twisted electronic rhythms and textures, leading to a full-on drum & bass workout at the end. This will feature on his debut solo EP Chasing Days, due for release in September and coinciding with his first-ever London show. Prepare to be charmed and inspired as this revitalises and rejuvinates you with every play.
