The name Noonie Bao may not seem familiar to you but the Swedish singer and songwriter has been at the heart of some enormous UK hits over the past three years. She wrote and was the vocalist on Avicii’s still-brilliant 2013 no.1 smash I Could Be The One, co-wrote four of the songs of Charli XCX’s recent album Sucker including Doing It, has worked on other huge tunes we love from Rita Ora, Clean Bandit and Tove Stryke plus has upcoming cuts on the much-anticipated new Carly Rae Jepsen album. Her solo debut album was nominated for a Swedish Grammy in 2012 and now this quirky new single deserves to send her flying into charts globally as a star in her own right. We’ve often said that Scandis seem to have an inherent knack for always being able to provide a fresh twist on what works musically around the world at any given time, often without pretension and always with effortless cool and style. This is a prime example. With a rolling, galloping rhythm track that reminds us of Major Lazer’s Lean On, it's perfect 21st century pop at its very best. Charming and delightful.
