We say
We first heard this fabulous Hannah Scott track on Dermot O’Leary's Radio 2 show on Saturday afternoon and were instantly smitten. Hannah spent her late teens living and working in Tuscany and it’s her love of Italy that eventually inspired her to spend nine months deep in the hilltop villages of Liguria recording her debut EP, Still Static. Working with musician and multi-instrumentalist Stefano Della Casa at his Hertfordshire-based label and production company, this latest song sees her mature as a confident songwriter and performer, something that was witnessed recently when she launched the track at London’s Hospital Club. Chosen by Caffè Nero as their Artist Of The Month in April and played across the BBC Local Radio network as a BBC Introducing artist last month, you can hear the drama of one of her favourite artists Damien Rice filtering into Hannah’s work too. With praise in the past from The Guardian and Mojo, expect more plaudits to come soon for her summer festival shows lined up at Cornbury and Henley. This is emotional and impressively striking.
