Norwegian singer Aurora is emerging as a front-runner of the many talented teenagers we’ll be watching closely this weekend. This title track from her debut EP and has been streamed over a million times in just a fortnight, adding to her Spotify tally of seven million plays to date. We’ve mentioned recently how much we love this icy and moody electro pop that's become a distinctive trait of young acts coming out of Scandinavia right now. It’s something that’s found favour with Huw Stephens and Phill Taggart at Radio 1 plus Jo Whiley at Radio 2 too where Aurora will be in session on her show next month. She plays two shows at The Great Escape in Brighton this Saturday (May 15), firstly in the afternoon on the Hub Stage at Spiegelpub and later in the evening at Coalition. She’s back in London headlining a gig at The Ace Hotel on June 11. Support from NME, Hype Machine, Clash, DIY, The Line Of Best Fit, Noisey and even Katy Perry (who tweeted about her video for the song Runaway) is just the start of big things for this girl. Watch this beacon glow even brighter as the summer progresses.
