Now this featured tune really is something rather magical that you need to hear. JONES was raised in east London by her mum whose love of soul giants like Luther Vandross and Stevie Wonder rubbed off on the youngster. She began turning her private diary entries into songs and last year brought us the track Deep (with XL’s resident producer Rodaidh McDonald and newcomers Brunelle) and the A.K.Paul-produced You. Her sound combines stripped-back electronic elements with strong. soulful, almost-confessional emotion. But it’s all done in such a perfectly controlled way which gives the whole atmosphere of it such style. This luscious title track to her debut EP has notched up close to 50,000 Soundcloud plays already and you can catch her live on the bill for London's Visions Festival on August 8. Minimalist production from Ninja Tune artist Raffertie opens up acres of space and room to breathe, letting JONES voice shine through so tastefully. Quite simply, this is nothing short of sumptuous and world-class elegance. Beautiful, just beautiful.
