Glance at the Official Chart Company midweek sales update and you’ll notice the latest album by The Answer sits just outside the Top 20. Rock music has an unwarranted perception of being deeply unfashionable in 2015, despite the success of newer acts like Royal Blood, but these lads from Northern Ireland have racked up more than 400,000 sales worldwide, toured with legends AC/DC, are about to support Whitesnake this summer across the USA and have a 40-date UK and European headline tour on the way too. So, perhaps you need a rethink. A glowing review came from Kerrang! recently for the band’s fifth album Raise A Little Hell and this track sits on radio playlists at both Planet Rock and Team Rock. There have also been plays on many of the nation’s key specialist rock shows - deservedly so too. They’re back live in London on March 26 for a gig at Islington Academy which includes a special after-show acoustic performance. No pretensions or pretty-boy posturing here. This is accomplished, soulful, hype-free good-time rock ’n’ roll and you’d be churlish to not want a slice of it.
