Premiered by Annie Mac at Radio 1, this track by London-based duo Tough Love has been steadily climbing the Shazam Top 100 every time it’s been played since on shows with Danny Howard, Friction, Mistajam, DJ Target, Cameo and others. The station made it Track Of The Day yesterday and the premise is straightforward. This is a no-nonsense dance track through and through, with a vocal hook reinterpreted from an old slice of R&B by Jodeci, all expertly pumped up for a whole new clubbing crowd this spring and summer. Now Top 10 on Shazam’s UK Dance Chart, they’ll be supporting Hannah Wants on tour in the coming weeks and she’s returned the favour be providing one of the remixes of the track alongside others from S.P.Y. and S-Man. Tough Love themselves have already remixed major hits for Shift K3y, Meghan Trainor and Clean Bandit during 2014. With this first release as artists in their own right, it sound like they’re in for a rather busy year ahead too.
