Loveblood
We say
Sundara Karma are still in their teens, hail from Berkshire and have just seen this track from their debut EP jump straight onto Radio 1's In New Music We Trust playlist this week. After initial support for the four lads via BBC Introducing, when a friend of the then-15 year olds posted their track Freshbloom onto the website, things developed quickly with a 2013 Reading festival slot that led to great reviews in the NME and across many tastemaker blogs. Fearne Cotton and Zane Lowe have shown big love for the band plus Huw Stephens has them in for a Maida Vale session on the day of release. Having just supported The Wombats, the band next play in London at The Garage with Darlia on NME's Awards tour on February 17 and their own headline date is on March 10 at The Sebright Arms. Already synched in Australia on a Mercedes Benz ad, this is solid anthemic indie pop influenced by so many of the greats from the past 30 years. Most of all, it’s delivered with an urgency, freshness and melodic punch that we’re pretty sure some of the biggest guitar acts in the world would kill for right now.
