Headlights
We say
We’ve been keeping tabs on Ivy & Gold for several months now and heard impressive reports back from their recent London sold-out gig at St Pancras Church. One trusted contact told us how Rachel Wilkinson’s vocals truly soared that night against Jamie Davies’ icy electro instrumentation. This track from their third self-released EP Smoke & Mirrors is their best to date and the buzz continues to grow rapidly. Musically, they draw on so many wonderful influences past and present, all of them cool and hip but firmly with the single-minded objective of creating a contemporary sound that’s set for global pop domination. See what we mean when the duo play the This Must Be Pop night at the Queen Of Hoxton on December 1 and their own headline date at London’s Roundhouse Studio on December 9. With support from Amazing Radio, Nylon magazine, BBC Introducing and having already opened up on tour for Paolo Nutini, jump on board and expect Ivy & Gold to supply the soundtrack to some of 2015’s best moments.
