Jerry Williams is an unsigned 18-year-old singer-songwriter from Portsmouth and this is the title track from her debut EP. Drawing inspiration from the people and places in her hometown (especially the boys), there's a great freshness and likeability to her sound. Things are moving positively, following a support slot with The Hoosiers, with several labels keeping a very close eye on her. She's already had writing sessions with Newton Faulkner and Jim Duguid (noted for his work on Paolo Nutini's debut album) and tonight (September 30) you can catch her live at London's Archer Street bar in Soho as part of this month's Sony Platform event. Then she's back in the capital on October 17 supporting Jay Brannan at Camden's Jazz Cafe. Watch out too for new acoustic music videos, coming every fortnight, filmed in indie shops and favourite places that she loves back in Portsmouth. Youthful, vulnerable but engaging and quirky, Jerry stands out from her peers right now and we reckon she has the talent to shine brightly in 2015.
