Dance On My Own
We say
We think we may just have found the perfect sunshine smash and massive radio anthem from the world of R&B pop. Last time we featured M.O. was back in March with the song For A Minute. We mentioned then that their sound was very street-wise but with a dash of that old-skool twist that permeates all of dance music in 2014. Now, taking its inspiration from that vintage UK garage two-step classic Flowers by Sweet Female Attitude, this latest track feels like the real breakout hit that will take the trio to a huge mainstream audience. Mistajam has long been a keen supporter of the girls (it's his Jam Hot Record Of The Week right now), the video premiered on the Complex and Noisey websites and the team at BBC Radio 1xtra have added the track to their playlist six weeks upfront of release. Now more people are jumping on board with NME recently quoted as saying this song was one more triumphant step towards them becoming the British TLC. The track was even trending in the UK after just one regional radio evening play last week, incredibly during the Germany v Brazil World Cup match. Perfectly crafted with slick, polished production and instant likeabliity, this three-minute pop nugget feels like one huge mass-appeal party banger that's about to blow up and become the sound of the summer.
