We say

Country music still seems to be openly reviled within the British music industry. Yet it often brings some of the finest crafted songs and killer melodies, quite frankly. Radio 2 is the genre's biggest supporter in the UK and it's where Ward Thomas has recently found a welcoming home, thanks to legends like Bob Harris and Terry Wogan, and now a place on the station's B list with this excellent track. The remarkable thing about this young, fresh duo is that Nashville is lapping up their sound right now, yet the girls delivering the goods actually come from Hampshire. 19-year old twin sisters Catherine and Lizzy grew up on a farm, listening to the Dixie Chicks, before deciding to start writing songs themselves. They went down a storm at last month's C2C Festival at London's O2 and are currently Stateside, cementing their reputation as one of the hottest new acts in country music. This featured track from their latest EP will sit on the girls' debut album, due in July. Crisp, polished production and immaculate vocal harmonising. There's always a place for quality like this in the hearts of the mainstream music-buying public.
