Feels like we've waited a long time for this one, and not just because everyone who has heard Tegan & Sara Quin's seventh album Heartthrob agreed months ago that I Was A Fool is an out-of-the-box hit record. After nearly fifteen years making quality indie angst for a loyal and largely Canadian fanbase, Tegan & Sara have finally embraced the mainstream. Teaming up with pop production powerhouse Greg Kurstin (Pink, Ke$ha and The Shins among countless others), Heartthrob is their most accessible album to date, a No. 3 Billboard Chart debut hinting at the richly deserved international success that's about to come their way. Following a previous UK visit that included arena dates with The Killers, recurrent-in-waiting I Was A Fool is released to coincide with a handful of headline shows next month.
