Launched in 2010, Vintage TV brings music fans a carefully curated blend of live performances, interviews and themed playlists. Previously only available on Freeview Connect to viewers with an online compatible box, the Freeview launch will mean approximately five million more homes can tune in to Vintage TV.
Founder and CEO of Vintage TV, David Pick, commented on this new development: “We have identified and successfully filled an obvious and substantial gap in the market, recognising that good music lasts forever and emanates from every generation. We’re especially delighted to be bringing our channel into more homes in the UK through Freeview, while we continue to seek more ways in which we can deliver our ever-growing library to music lovers here and around the globe.” Viewers with Freeview HD televisions or set-top boxes, will now have access to Vintage TV programming on Freeview channel 86. Vintage TV will still be available on Sky 369, Virgin 343 and Freesat 505, or on the new app, launched earlier in 2016. The Vintage TV app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play on Android for instantly accessible music and shows on the go.
