Robomagic’s Rob Hallett joins Nile Rodgers’ new US Festival FOLD

‘Freak Out Let’s Dance’ Festival hosted by Nile Rodgers and CHIC, plus Beck, Duran Duran, Pharrell Williams, Keith Urban, Chuck D, Paloma Faith, Q-Tip and more

The great Nile Rodgers has connected with Rob Hallett and Robomagic Live to promote his brand new FOLD Festival, taking place August 4th and 5th in Riverhead NY.  

Grammy-winning composer, producer, arranger and guitarist Nile Rodgers will produce, perform and host the FreakOut! Festival® and personally called all the artists to invite them to join him.

Having assembled an all-star lineup, Nile needed a promoter to bring it all together and made his next call to Rob Hallett and Robomagic Live.

In conjunction with this extraordinary two-day event, Rodgers will also conduct recording sessions with featured artists at a private studio outside the festival grounds.

Co-produced by music industry veteran Michael Ostin and Peter Herman of Nile Rodgers Productions, the FreakOut! Festival® is a unique, once-in-a-lifetime event that will feature Rodgers and his multi-platinum band CHIC sharing the stage with music legends and contemporary trailblazers like Beck, Duran Duran, Paloma Faith, Grandmaster Melle Mel, Chaka Khan, Janelle Monàe, Q-Tip, Keith Urban and Pharrell Williams, among other artists. In both scope and size, it’s the first music festival of its kind on Long Island. It will be the ONLY time you will see the two most recent Grammy® “Album Of The Year” winners (Nile Rodgers/Pharrell, 2014 and Beck, 2015) perform together on the same stage and for some artists, the first time you will be able to see them perform live in 2015.

This will be Robomagic’s first foray in to the US market since the 360 degree and live promotions company was established at the beginning of this year. Rob founded AEG Live in the UK and has spent 35 years as one of the most high profile live promoters in the industry working everyone from Bon Jovi to Prince. Robomagic Live sits alongside Robomagic 360 which strikes deals with talent including recording, publishing, artist and brand management.  

FOLD is Robomagic’s second festival connection. It was recently announced that Rob has joined the management team for UK Festival Standon Calling with a brief to develop the event in the years to come.  Robomagic is also currently promoting tours by Duran Duran and Sleaford Mods amongst others.
