Martin Garrix Joins Sony
26 July 2016 - Press releaseMartin Garrix, the superstar artist and DJ, has signed a worldwide agreement with Sony Music International, it was announced today [27.07].
The Dutch star, who is widely regarded as one of the most exciting electronic music artists in the world, will be on RCA Records in the US and Columbia Records in the UK. His first release will be In The Name of Love, his highly anticipated collaboration with Bebe Rexha, which will be available from July 29th.
Martin first rose to international fame with his 2013 single Animals, which has sales in excess of 10 million worldwide to date. Since then he has collaborated with fellow stars including Ed Sheeran, Usher, Avicii and Tiesto.
He has also headlined Ultra Music Festival and Tomorrowland; owns his own record label STMPD Records and has a weekly show on Apple’s Beats 1 under the same name.
Still only 20, he is listed as the No3 DJ in the world (DJ Mag, Top 100, 2015).
The agreement with Martin was negotiated by Sony Music Entertainment Netherlands, RCA US, Columbia UK and Sony Music International’s London bureau. It was led by Adam Granite for Sony Music International and Scooter Braun and Michael George for SB Projects as well as Watse De Jong of Watse Matter, Martin’s management teams.
